Steven R. Scott
Attorney of Law
If you have an invention or idea you would like to see protected, your next step should be to consult with an attorney qualified to advise you in these areas. I have been a practicing attorney since 1980, and a member of the U.S. Patent Bar since 1985. During these years, I have acquired a well rounded background in the practice of law and a depth of experience in all phases of intellectual property practice. My current practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution work, but also includes work in other intellectual property areas such as trademark, trade dress and copyright.
In terms of patent drafting and prosecution, most of my work has been in what are generally referred to as the mechanical, optical, and electrical arts, but I have also worked on projects including chemical and biological components. In the mechanical, optical and electrical areas, my patent prosecution work has included involvement in projects related to industrial controls, safety and security systems, optics, photonics, metrology, lasers, and internet related inventions, as well as in firearms, gasifiers, commercial and military wheels, pollution control, and other less esoteric areas of the mechanical arts. Please feel free to contact me here.
